Roy Fisher

I bring with me 31 years of experience in advertising. My business background started in 1973 with the Nanaimo Times Community Newspaper where I started off as a sales representative and photographer and eventually became the Publisher. I then later moved on to the Printing and Publishing and for the past 6 1/2 years has worked in marketing and sales with McKinnon and Associates on projects such as Poets Cove on Pender Island, Miraloma in Sydney and the Old House Village Suites in the Comox Valley.

I have a long list of volunteer and community organizations that I have been involved with over many years such; as director and past president of Crime Stoppers, Director on the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce, Chair for the Public Relations Committee, Habitat for Humanity Mid Island, Vancouver Island Raiders Football, and the Chair of AWANA, Youth Program at the Nanaimo Alliance Church to name only a few.

My wife of 35 years and I have been long time residents of Nanaimo and Cedar and enjoy skiing, golfing and touring on our motorcycle I also teach kung-fu in my spare time.
