Wyatt Harris

Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. I have always had an interest in Architecture, drafting and building construction. I took every elective course offered in these areas throughout Jr. & Sr. High School. I went on to study Architecture with a specialization as a Landscape Architectural Technologist at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. To help pay for my studies, I worked in construction and various other part time jobs.

I furthered my educational training in entrepreneurial business when my wife and I moved to Victoria in the mid 90’s. I decided that I really did not want to work for myself at this point in my life. I took a position with a local business that specialized in high end architectural hardware and plumbing products. I contentedly remained there for about 10 years. During that time I was sent all over North America for specialized training architectural hardware and manufacturing processes, custom showers and plumbing products. I worked closely with the premier contractors, architects, designers, cabinetmakers and plumbers in Western Canada. I truly enjoyed what I was doing but the desire to be my own boss never left.

After passing the Real Estate Licensee from the University of British Columbia I interviewed several brokerages and aligned myself with DFH Real Estate Ltd. They offered everything I felt was needed and the friendly atmosphere did not go unnoticed. Every Realtor® who walked passed me in the lobby took the time to smile and greet me. This was something that had not happened at any other brokerage I interviewed. Since then, I have been acknowledged at staff meetings and in the newspaper many times by my brokerage for being in the top 20% of my office for production.

In December of 2010, I was one of 5 Realtors® to receive an award from the City of Langford’s Mayor, Stewart Young. We were acknowledged for volunteering our real estate services to Langford’s Affordable Housing Program. It was announced that over $150,000 in real estate commissions have been waived in order to help provide cost effective housing to those who qualify. It should be noted that all 5 of us operate under the DFH brokerage and as of December 2010 there have not been any Realtors® from any other brokerages to volunteer their services.
