Denis Shynkaruk

I was born and raised in Prince Albert and have lived here all my life. I have been married now going on 35 years. I have two sons and 3 grand daughters and another grand child on the way. There is just nothing better then those grand children.

Before getting into real estate I spend 32 years in the carpentry trade. I am a journeymen carpenter. I taught carpentry at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary here in Prince Albert for about 9 years. I also taught the apprenticeship program for SIAST technical institute in Prince Albert and in Northern Saskatchewan. I taught numerous introductory carpentry courses as well as home maintenance programs for Saskatchewan Indian Institute and North Land College. I was employed at this for about 10 years. I owned my own carpentry business as well specializing in cabinet building , finishing , installing hardwood floors etc. After 32 years in the business it was time for a change and I felt Real estate would be a perfect fit.

In my younger days and up to about 10 years ago I was involved extensively in sports, playing lots of hockey, softball, racquetball, volleyball and badminton as well as coaching hockey and softball. I enjoy snowmobiling and still do a lot of it today. I really enjoy the outdoors and spend many years camping , fishing and snowmobiling at the lakes in Northern Saskatchewan. Probably my most favorite past time today is riding my 2007 Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe. It is my pride and joy and a great way to get rid of the pressures of the day.

I am into my fifth year in Real Estate and as mention in my bio I felt this was a perfect fit after being employed in the construction trade for 32 years. With this experience I feel it is quite beneficial to my client knowing that I do know a lot about house construction. I have successfully completed an intensive Realtor course and at this time I am licensed to sell Residential properties ( which includes acreages and cabins), Farm land, and Property Management. As a Century 21 agent we receive extensive training through the company.

As your Realtor I would not knowingly sell you a home I wouldn't buy myself. It is my duty as your Realtor to disclose any defects that I am aware of. I am not here to just sell you a house......anyone can do that...... What I want to do is help you find the home of your dreams and to be sure this is the right one for you by giving you all the information possible to make an informed decision. The way I look at it is, if I am honest and open with you, you may not buy the first house I show you, but you may buy through me eventually, so why not have you purchase the best one for your money.

I have lived in Prince Albert all my life so I am very familiar with all areas of the city ( good & bad) as well as surrounding communities and lakes.
