My family's history goes back to the Westside of Cleveland. Charles P. Cory, REALTOR, was located in Lakewood, Ohio at the corner of Bell and Detroit Rd. He was in real estate from 1928 until his passing in 1967. His high standards and courteous service made the "Cory Rental and Sales" the leading offices in the community. His uncommon dog "Jack" may well have been the first canine Realtor.
After World War II when the processing of grains began, Charles Cory, Anna May Cory's father, had an old-fashioned grain mill for sale. He purchased the store himself believing that processed flour and grain was not the healthful way to eat. He also purchased the grain mill and the combination became the first health food store in Cleveland.
In 1968, Anna May Cory purchased Hobart Health Foods from her father's estate and with her partner Bob Uveges, built it into a successful chain of stores in Lakewood, Parma, North Olmsted and Elyria, Ohio and further branching to Aspen, Colorado in 1978. In 1989, the couple founded and ran the Prickly Pear Restaurant in Sedona, AZ. The menu had many whole grain and healthful items for you to enjoy.
Anna May made her first investment in real estate in 1971. It was a commercial building in Lakewood, Ohio with 4 retail storefronts, 8 apartments and 1 Residential home. Since then she has bought and sold investment properties and currently owns rental properties and the business in Cottonwood, The Pines Motel.

Bob Uveges brings support to the Anna May with his solid background in construction dating back to the 1950's, giving you the benefit of his knowledge whether you're buying or listing property. Anna May Cory and Bob have a solid business background and love to work with people. Canine Jack is gone of course, but currently there is Rottie and Slipper who continue to make inspections when not chewing on a bone.
