Candace was born to a great family. She was brought up with high expectations and an intense value system. Her parents have owned their own businesses since they were 16 & 18 years old, so a work ethic was an important part of her upbringing. Through the years of her adolescence and teens, she was taught that honesty, loyalty, and commitment would get her very far in life, especially in the business world.

Candace started working at 16, as well. She learned the basics of the customer service industry from the restaurant business. With all of her years in the restaurant combined, she has been a Counter Girl (2 yrs), a Waitress (6 yrs), a Bookkeeper (6 yrs), a Manager (3 yrs), an Aggressive Hospitality Coordinator (Employee Motivator) (3 yrs), a Cook (6 mos), and yes, even a Dishwasher. Now, she prides herself on being a restaurant critic, which unfortunately, just comes naturally to her every time she steps into a restaurant.

When going to college, Candace needed a part time job in the evenings. Little did she know, she’d find a new career and a husband at her next place of employment. Candace started as a cashier at the local Chevron station, where her future husband and father-in-law hired her. She quickly became the bookkeeper and 1½ years later, part of the family. Within her 3 years working for her husband’s father, she learned the ins and outs of running a service station. A few years later, she and her husband purchased their own Shell Service Station in Carmichael, California.

From 1997 to 2000 Candace and her husband took a destitute, run-down business from bankruptcy to maximum success. They worked 18+ hours a day, 6-7 days a week. Candace taught and organized the front of the business (Cashiers, Customer Service, Full-Service Attendants, Hiring, Firing, Ordering, Bookkeeping), while Keith, her husband, organized the back of the business (Mechanics, Part-time Attendants, and Chief Customer Schmooze). Together, they were a great team. Their bankrupt business increased almost 8 times in less than 3 years, and in 2000, when oil companies tried to control their dealer’s pocketbooks, they sold it for a very nice profit and started a new life in Marin.

One year later, Candace gave birth to the most incredible little boy in the world, Jake. He is six now, and the focus of her life. (Running a multi-million dollar company was easy compared to this). While raising their child, Candace and Keith started buying “fixer-upper” homes and remodeling them for a new business. During this time, Candace received her real estate license to further capitalize on the new plans. In Candace’s first year of buying and selling real estate she took on a few clients and was able to sell over 5 million dollars worth of homes, part-time, while raising her son. At the end of the year, she was very surprised to be awarded as one of the top producers in the United States, with Coldwell Banker’s Diamond Society Award, and made a business decision to make real estate a full-time career.

Today, Candace has sold millions of dollars of real estate, and specializes in project management sales and relocations for clients outside of the area, including International and Corporate relocations. She has also expanded her knowledge of the rental market and has helped to place families in temporary or permanent rental housing, to help transition her clients into the Bay Area housing market. This year, Candace was awarded the level of Coldwell Banker’s Previews Specialist, a prestigious award only granted to those selling several homes over $1.2 million. Candace is a real team player.
