Randy Freed has sold real estate since graduating from the University of California, Davis. In the 1980’s and early 1990’s, he owned and managed one of the largest real estate companies in the Santa Ynez Valley. In 1993, Randy and his family moved to Santa Barbara where Randy expanded his business to service his Santa Barbara clients. Now, Randy offers his expertise from Carpinteria to Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley, from large ranches and estates to neighborhood homes.
Prior to graduating with a Biological Science degree from the University of California, Davis, Randy Freed received his real estate license. In 1979, he secured his broker’s license, making him, at the time, one of the youngest brokers in Santa Barbara County. In 1981, Randy was a founding member of the Santa Ynez Valley Jaycees and was the first President of the organization. Randy was also a member of the Santa Ynez Valley General Plan Advisory Committee from 1981 until 1989, and served as chairman of this committee for seven years.
In 1989, Randy Freed served as President of the Santa Ynez Valley Association of Realtors, and, in 1990, he received his highest honor to date, “Realtor of the Year” for the Santa Ynez Valley Assorciation of Realtors. Additionally, he served as President of the Santa Ynez Chamber of Commerce. In 1996, Randy attained the Certified Residential Specialist designation, a prestigious certification held by only 5% of licensed Realtors nationwide. Always preparing for the newest real estate trends, Randy is now EcoBroker Certified.
Today, Randy is a Realtor and a Broker-Associate with Prudential California Realty of Montecito, Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley. Prudential California Realty has the largest market share of any real estate company in the Santa Barbara area. Prudential offers an array of marketing services including: Prudential California Realty Online; Prudential's collection of the most effective and up-to-date real estate e-marketing tools available; advertising in the Santa Barbara Newspress, Casa Classic Homes, Santa Ynez Valley News, the Montecito Journal, and Coastal View; and on many internet providers, such as Realtor.com, Yahoo.com, Google.com, Zillow.com and numerous other websites. Randy and his wife, Donna, have three daughters - Jamie, Danielle, and Abbey. His hobbies include karate, magic, chess, tennis, softball, skiing, and spending time with his family.
