John Aliyetti

A native of Pittsburgh, PA, John Aliyetti attended the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Maryland before becoming an aviator for the U.S. Marine Corps. Upon his release from active duty he was named a Corporate Account Executive with the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company specializing in Workman's Compensation and Liability coverage. Evenually he returned to his first love, aviation, flying for many years as a Captain for American Airlines.

John's avocation of historical and technical research has resulted in a number of nationally published articles on aviation, the civil war and a history of early African-American watermen of the Chesapeake Bay.

He and his artist wife Penny have lived in the Vero Beach area for about twelve years. They are members the Vero Beach Museum of Art, Indian River Symphonic Association, The Navy League and Grand Harbor Golf and Beach Club. John is a recognized expert in Indian River County golf course and ocean front communities, both single family and condominium for domestic and international clients.
