Cardigan is a Realtor © with NAR's GREEN designation, licensed in Illinois and Florida. Between 1994 and 2009, as a member of RE/MAX Signature North in Chicago, Cardigan assisted many families find their home, with a focus on moderate-income homebuyers and energy efficient green homes. In 2009, Cardigan assumed the Managing Broker position at Gaskin Realtors Inc., a 49 year old Independent, MBE, Real Estate firm in Evanston IL. Since its inception in 1961, Gaskin Realtors focus has been working with first-time home buyers and paring them up with affordable housing solutions and sustainable financial products. The office specializes in transactions that include unfamiliar or rarely used loan purchase products such as FHA/FHA 203K, VA, Community loan programs, Lease to Purchase, and the all but forgotten Land Contract.
Cardigan is a resident and entrepreneur in East Garfield Park where he has helped start a small antique business while providing affordable housing to neighborhood residents. He serves as a council member on the neighborhood’s New Communities Program community development committee managed by LISC, and is an active member of the Greater Garfield Chamber of Commerce. Cardigan is an alumnus of the Urban Studies programs of Morehouse College, Georgia and DePaul University, Illinois.
