Akim Smyer

Akim Smyer-Campbell is a licensed Associate Broker and designated Realtor member of the Westchester County Board of Realtors and sits on the Legislative Committee of the WCBR. She is one of the few Realtors nationally to hold the professional designation "SRES" (Senior Real Estate Specialist) brings more than 25 years of professional real estate experience, to Coldwell Banker.

Akim began her career in 1983 with the City of Yonkers Department of Assessment & Taxation. She then went on to work for the County Chamber of Commerce followed by a position with a local Title Insurance company. Over the next 13 years she worked for one of Westchester's premier residential developers, Ginsburg Development, LLC (GDC, LLC) as an Executive Assistant to Martin Ginsburg. She was also Coordinator of Special Projects & Corporate Events for the company. At GDC, Akim met Patti Cunningham which began her real estate career. A licensed Realtor since 1998, Akim initially joined Cunningham & Schneider Realty on a part-time basis.

Akim soon realized that helping others with one of the most important decisions of their life was her calling. In 2005 she decided to pursue her passion full-time, following in the footsteps of her paternal Great Grandfather John J. Smyer, a well-known Pastor and Real Estate Developer in turn of the century Yonkers. She joined the firm of Cunningham Realty Ltd. full-time.
